BeachBody Income Disclosure
Based on the traffic from our Beachbody opportunity review, we’ve decided is was time to do a write up about How Much Can You Earn As A BeachBody Coach.
The best information we could find right now an annual BeachBody Income Disclosure. They only include details of Beachbody Coaches who earned commission during the calendar year. The details of these earning is shown in the table below:
If you look at the document, you’ll notice that they claim BeachBody Coaches earn 15-50% in retail commissions. Conveniently, it’s impossible to prove MLM retail income. So we’d like to believe them, but we also can’t confirm the real BeachBody retail commissions.
If we start with the small print at the bottom of this document, we will see that the information is only based on the 42.91% who received any commission. From this we can see that 57.09% of BeachBody coaches earned nothing for the year
The information has been presented in a rather unusual format, but then again MLMs are known to make their data intentionally confusing.
We should note that this table only includes those who remained enrolled in Beachbody for the entire year. Starting at the bottom, we see that 77.3% never made it past the entry level rank of ‘coach’. At this rank the average earnings for the year was $427. After a bit of math, we see that less than 1 in 4 beachbody coaches earned more than $9 a week in commissions.
If we look at the annual average earnings, then we can see that only those who reach the rank of ‘Star Diamond’, are earning a full time income. So only the 1.2% who climb all the way to the top of the triangular system, can replace a regular job. The other 98.8% of Beachbody coaches would be better off in a regular job.
Keep in mind that this table only shows income, which is not the same as profit. If we were to look at all the costs of being enrolled for the year, we believe it would show that most Beachbody coaches are losing money.
Another factor not included, is churn. This is a common term used in the sales industry. It refers to people quitting. MLMs have a huge churn rate. In any given year, it’s common for more than half of them to drop out.
Looking at the Beachbody income disclosure, we can assume that most of the coaches who earned no commission did not renew their enrollment for the next year. There’s a good chance that many of them in the lower ranks also quit because even though they made commission, they lost money.
If you are considering joining Beachbody, or any other MLM, we strongly suggest you examine all your options before making a final decision.
