Monat Income Disclosure Statement
Well it took some time and frustration, but thanks to the r/antimlm community on Reddit, we were finally able to find a copy of the annual Monat Income Disclosure.
We were only able to find a low resolution image, it was blurry, but still readable. So rather than let you strain your eyes, we decided to recreate the important information starting with the table below:
The first thing we should explain, is that 47% of Monat Market Partners were considered inactive, and therefore were not eligible for commission. In other words almost half the Monat Market Partners earned absolutely nothing in 2018.
If we look at the average annual income, we see that the first 7 ranks (all the way to Market Mentor), all earn less than $40,000. This shows us that 99.89% of Monat Market partners earned less than you could in a regular full time job.
The 0.11% who make it to the top 4 ranks seem to be earning quite well. It would take 7 promotions in the Monat MLM ranks to achieve this. It must be difficult because only 1 in 909 Monat huns earns a full time income.
If we look at the distribution in the ranks, we see a familiar story. Like most MLMs, the vast majority, 94.03%, never made it past the entry level rank with Monat.
They will feed us the standard excuse that ‘most huns are only in it for the cheap products’, but we don’t believe that at all. If they wanted to be a preferred customer, they could get a discount without joining the business opportunity.
Let’s play along and pretend that only the 5.97% who get promoted past the bottom of the triangle, are ‘working hard enough’. We’ll do a little math and see how the Monat Business opportunity looks for those who are clearly in it for money.
45.75% of Managing Market Partners didn’t get promoted any higher in 2018. So while they may been able to work their way off the bottom of the Egyptian triangular structure, the success ended there. It seems that climbing any higher became difficult most likely because the one or two friends they found didn’t find anyone else to join.
Of the huns who are working hard, only 1.84% are earning a full time income.
Let’s keep in mind that these numbers don’t include any expenses, if we were to include the time, effort, and money spent trying to build a Monat downline, we’d probably find that most Monat Partners are losing money.
Another issue, is that this only shows the partners who participated in the business opportunity at the end of 2018. It does not show us how many dropped out. We strongly believe that those who have become inactive, will quit Monat within the next 12 months. If this happens annually then we can assume that almost half the Partners quit Monat every year.
